The name of this award-winning trio from Kraków - “Di Galitzyaner Klezmorim” - means in Yiddish “Galician musicians,” and as the name indicates, their music has its root in the tradition of Jewish vocal music of the Central-Eastern Europe. Festival “Between East and West”

The festival “Between East and West” (Festiwal Między Wschodem a Zachodem) is a festival promoting Russian culture with the specific focus on the Orthodox Church and its culture and traditions, and this is its 2nd edition this year. In programme are

- the screenings of the film “Ostrov (Island)” (RU, 2006, dir. Pavel Lungin)

- a photo exhibition “Polish Orthodox Church” (photography by Piotr Sawicki)

- the concerts by an internationally acclaimed basso profundo, Vladimir Miller
